Who plays Guitar??? Best Strings..........

I just recently got an Alvarez RD8 and it needs new strings..
I read up a little bit but still unsure which ones to pull the trigger on?

Does anyone have any advice on the best strings for an Acoustic Guitar?
I want it to be easy on the fingers but still sound good too..

I've got some Martin's on right now.
I would say generally D'Addario's and Elixir's are probably the best.

Elixirs. Worth the extra money, they last a helluva lot longer and sound great right up to the time you change 'em.

If you're just getting back to playing after a long layoff. Go with light strings.

I have Elixirs on my Taylor. I consider them the best for me. I change them out roughly every two months. I beat the hell out of them though. Good Luck. Buy yourself a good tuner.

Dadarrio XL Nickel Jazz Lights is what I use but I put a 12 on the little e.

Cleartone lights are the best acoustic strings. Period.

mediums generally (they don't really make 'heavies') have better tone
80/20 are really bright. phosphor bronze are a little warmer

D'adarrio strings are made in the USA - so I'd recommend that brand. The rest: that's part of the fun - experimenting with different types.
