Who impacted "The Band" more Levon Helm or Robbie Robertson?

I know that they were "The Band" because they were all virtuoso musicians in their own right and there was no real front man but I have gotten in this argument alot since Levon's death and want to hear your thoughts.
Who had a greater impact on The Band Levon Helm or Robbie Robertson?(or Danko, Garth or Manuel if you are so inclined)
My vote goes to Levon because they were deemed a southern band and had a southern aura about them and Levon was the only southerner. Robbie had too much of a negative impact in the end.

Let me preface my opinion by saying Levon is my favorite member, followed by Danko. But, I'd have to say Robertson. He wrote most of the songs and was probably their most virtuosic musician, although his douchebaggery eventually tore the band apart.

even though Robertson is probally responsible for the majority of the lyrics of their most popular songs, and is the lead guitarist, i would say Levon's gritty and soulful voice is the reason i began listening to them when i was young after i first heard "The Weight".

I know he is listed as the only lyricist in most their hits like The Weight, and The Night They Drove Ole Dixie Down, but Levon was screwed out of getting the lyricist credit. Do you really think a Canadian could capture a Rebel's point of view after the war? and all of the characters in the Weight like crazy chester and anna lee were Levon's friends from Arkansas

Figuring neither were alive during the civil war, it really matters little where robbie or levon are from.
To the ops question, i think its impossible to answer, without either of them, they arent the band.
