I’m not gonna lie, I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers version of “Higher Ground”

I do too, but I can't put it above the original. Great cover though.

Thank you. Didn't even think it worthy of mention.

Jumping Jack Flash... The Rolling Stones released this as a single in '68...

I'm sure many have covered it over the years, , but this 1970 cover by Alex Chilton is my favorite version of the song.. adds more 1970's, Bowery raunchiness to it...

I love the Allman Brothers(seen them live twice) but I actually prefer Molly Hatchet's version of Dreams to their original version. (Not going to link it because everyone here has heard both versions, please tell me I'm not assuming too much here)

These Days-Jackson Browne

These Days-Gregg Allman

These Days-Glen Campbell

All are good but none are my favorite. My favorite is still the original done by The Hourglass. Gregg Allman's pre Allman Brothers band based in Los Angeles. Problem is that it is not on YouTube. I've got the original album it was on. Best song ever written by a sixteen year old.

"It's Great To Be Young & In Love" - demo by Pomus and Shuman w/original lyrics

Dion & The Belmonts - note how country this version sounds. Dion's father was a traveling salesman, and he sometimes went on his father's sales trips to rural Penn, where he was exposed to country music. Dion himself cites Hank Williams as a major influence.
