if ever.... Trent was quoted saying that in 2012 he plans on spending most of his time creating music with nine inch nails in mind.. so new album maybe?
i ask because i just saw a video of his voodoo show in '05... one of the best shows ive been to. and i want him to start touring so i can see them again
any thoughts?

Well, he's putting out the new How To Destroy Angels album soon. If they tour for that, it would push NIN related things back.

Insanely cool live act,not to mention trailblazers in the electronic world. I do hope Reznor keeps doing soundtrack work as well, his score on Social Network was rock solid.

I used to live on Laurel Street near Napoleon in Uptown New Orleans. I remember NIN playing at Tipitina's when virtually nobody knew shite about them. Some girl ended up on my front porch in distress at about 1 am. I did my best to take care of her. I'm a saint.
That said, yeah, they are a great live act.

Reznor said a few years ago that NIN was never touring the US again. I think he said they were done making music too but I guess he's going back on that.

Expect more music. I'm sure he'll eventually tour again as NIN, but I think he just got burnt out on it and wanted to focus on other things when he said that.
I was also at the 2005 Voodoo show. It is the only time that I've seen them and it was an awesome show.

Reznor assured fans, however, that he’s not done making music, even under the NIN banner. Early in the show, Spin reports he announced: “This is it. I haven’t had a chance to catch my breath and think about things … I’m kinda sad. But I’m not gonna break down in tears just yet.” Later, during the third encore, Rolling Stone notes Reznor added, “We’re not going to tour anymore as Nine Inch Nails, but we’re all still going to be making music.
