Good enough to not change the station.

I like one of their songs just can't remember the name of it.

I think if there were a Merriam Webster's Music Dictionary the entry for Goo Goo Dolls would be one word..."meh"

You guys are joking, right? Terrible band. I saw them play before Saints first game back in the Dome and they played that shitty song (dont know the name but it is their most popular hit) TWICE. Bad musicianship and even worse vocals.

Sorry they couldn't be as chill as DMB, GD, or Phish. Maybe next time.

Just kidding dude

They had a pretty good sound in the late 80s, early 90s...very replacements-ish... When they became relevant, its because they changed their sound to become radio friendly... then they sucked hard.

yeah, I'm that guy...

very similar career arc to Soul Asylum, but at their best they were always better than the GGDs

HAH. I was going to post something along these lines.

They're pretty well respected up in Minnesota and there were a lot of references to them in the Replacements book. Westerberg I believe wrote a bunch of their early songs.

Check out We Are The Normal this song is really good and is said to sound like the 'Mats, but I don't quite see the link.

Regardless, great song and a pretty good band.

Ehhh, they're okay. Iris was the name of the heavily played song. There is a snipit of an acoustical version in that movie City of Angels that is quite good.

Saw them play recently in biloxi. Dude was f'd up. He screwed around with a couple hits early on, basically just playing the chorus over and over. Then they went into a lot of their old punk stuff, which I thought was funny as the crowd looked shocked. Then he pulled it together to nail Name and a couple more hits. Overall I enjoyed the show, but I've always liked most of their music.
