Incubus had a decent unplugged set which had no instruments unplugged. I liked it

Where did you sleep last night.....hauntingly done by Cobain. He knew his time was nigh. Between a heroin habit and a crazy ho to deal with, it just got to be too much for Kurt.

That's the Leadbelly song I mentioned (although he didn't write it, he just had the most famous versions before Nirvana came along). Nirvana changed it up some but the core of the song is the same.

Listening to Kurt scream the last verse right now and my arms are covered in goose bumps.

Anything off Nirvana's Unplugged album is gold. Favorites being Man who Sold the World, You Know You're Right, and Polly

They didn't do that one at Unplugged.

All the cover songs they did were knockouts. Turned me onto the Vaselines and the Meat Puppets both.

I was rocking my son to sleep earlier and singing Jesus Doesn't Want Me For a Sunbeam from Nirvanas unplugged.

Yeah I think I have to go w Nutshell by AIC.

Why doesn't MTV issue all of these out in DVD? Most were spectacular! I've found a few here and there.

Here's a full list:

This. My favorite "live" recorded song I've ever heard. Kurt at his very best.

I am right on par with several of you. Haven't thought about MTV unplugged in 10+ years. The ones that still stick out in my mind are

Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Night?, Plateau, Lake of Fire

LL - Mama Said Knock You Out

Alice in Chains - Nutshell, Down In A Hole

Now I am inspired to dig into my boxed up CD Collection.

Lots of good MTV Unplugged concert DVD bootlegs out there.
Also some great performances on VH1 Storytellers

I know matchbox 20 is cheesy, but he pulls out a great piano version of 3 am right here......
