Why does everyone attack Zappa? I happen to think he´s right.

As to the question:

Doolittle
Rubber Soul
London Calling
Exile on Mainstreet
Let it Bleed
DSOM
Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)

are all perfect.

I couldn't argue with that. Like alot of people in this thread, picking one album is impossible, but if i can list a few:

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea- Neutral Milk Hotel
London Calling- The Clash
Emergency and I- The Dismemberment Plan
Boxer- The National
Doolittle- Pixies
The Monitor- Titus Andronicus
Lost in a Dream- The War on Drugs
Village Green Preservation Society- The Kinks
The Moon and Antarctica- Modest Mouse
Perfect From Now On- Built to Spill

Pretty much any Beatles or Bob Dylan album applies as well.

Greatest? Or personal favorite?

Because, for me the greatest is Revolver. But my personal favorite is... either London Calling or The Queen Is Dead. Don't make me decide!!!!

I'm probably in the minority here, but music seems so subjective to me that I don't see how these two aren't the same to someone. If something is my personal favorite, then I think it is the greatest.

Same here, although I don't have any arguments with most of the other albums posted in this thread.

Pearl Jam always gets hate. I sometimes think it is just jealousy that they are the only ones who didn't OD. They were born from an overdose.

Hell Ace said "Pyromania"! I picked at him, but did not downvote him.

many to choose from, but If I had to choose ONE right now... Rush - 2112.

That's subject to change next week, tomorrow, even this afternoon.

I could never say just one..

Today it's The La's - S/T

Yesterday it was.. The Pogues - If I Should Fall from Grace with God

Maybe I could go with the chalk and give it to The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

It was recorded in just two months, yet this is a huge record. It's like it was dropped off from another planet. His creativity and musicianship still astounds me.
