Stranglehold Live
Nugent is a classic Rock N Roll Guitar Hero. I’ve seen him live several times and he can really bring it. Check out Wild Mick Brown, a founding member of Dokken, on drums.
I’ll bet there are some people on this board who weren’t aware that Nugent isn’t the vocalist on all his songs.
What say you?

That song is woven into the tapestry of my wasted youth....., it never gets old.

Big fan here! 1975-81 he put out album after album of great, hard rock music.
Ted Nugent-‘75
Free-For-All -‘76
Catch Scratch Fever-‘77
Double Live Gonzo-‘78
Weekend Warriors-‘78
State Of Shock-‘79
Scream Dream-‘80
Intensities In 10 Cities-‘81
*Derek St. Holmes was a great singer and excellent guitar player in his own right. I’m still listening to Ted 40+ years after I discovered him.

My entree’ into Uncle Ted’s Rock n Roll party was in 1982 when a friend of mine had the Great Gonzo’s!: The Best of Ted Nugent album. After I heard Stranglehold, Free for All, Wango Tango, Cat Scratch Fever and Just What the Doctor Ordered I was hooked.
Nugent played The Texas Club In BR about 6 or 7 years ago and played a great show to a packed house. The only problem was that the sound guy had everything turned up like that were playing an arena show. It was painful and my ears rang for a week.
I really love Nugent’s political commentary at all his shows. He’s a staunch conservative and I love it.
Ted Nugent for President!!

The Nuge is awesome.
When it came out, I thought the Ted Nugent album was good but over-produced. Too slick, too sterile but I liked it OK. Free For All was so awesome I couldn't wait for the next album (8 Track) so I bought Tooth, Fang & Claw which has an excellent cover. To this day Double Live Gonzo is one of the best live albums ever.

Derek St. Holmes sang Stranglehold and many others.
Carmine Appice was a great drummer as well.

My first live rock show. Monroe Civic Center around 1978 or so. Ted came out swinging from a rope with nothing but a loin clothe wrapped around his waist.
What a sight.

I found this out a few months back. I watched a concert he did at the Rockpalst back in the 70's on YouTube and was surprised that he didn't sing much at all.
I had always assumed he was the singer on all those songs but I never got the chance to see him in concert so I was quite surprised

Originally with Vanilla Fudge. Then he and Tim Bogert (bass) teamed up with Jeff Beck for a while.

and he sings that "frick you" song.

I'd say Wild Man Mick needs to play that in 16th's like the record instead of 8th's. It kills the feel in 8th's

I played the hell out of the Scream Dream album ((Wango Tango, Terminus Eldorado). Loud.
Looks like Ted sang lead on all but two songs on that one.
