I posted this here while back and didn't get many nibbles I figured I would try to help him out again.

Gold Magnolias - Southern Man

and here is a live video of a different tune (which I prefer)

Got to believe

Pleasantly surprised!

The video is well produced and seems to have cost more money than the views justify.

I was pretty impressed when I first saw it as well.

What did you think of the two songs?

I liked Got to Believe live; as you said, it was a superior song. Good folksy, feel-good music.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't really listen to them recreationally. Just in a bar or something. But a good bar day! But that's because it's not my cup of tea. I like to listen to about everything though.

I always love it when someone follows their dreams. "you got to believe"

I grew up with Evan (the lead singer). That band is based out of NYC, the dude just packed up and is trying to do it. If nothing else the man has balls

#yolo lol

All of my best friends over the years have played guitar or wanted to do the band thing. I guess I just fit into that culture, but I can't play an instrument for shite. We'd always get lit and plan my future education and our band shite out; nothing ever happened and I still regret it. Life is just too stagnant.

But yeah, best of luck to that bro! It seems like the most successful people said frick it and went for it.

Definitely like it, and would definitely pay a cover to see them perform live. Tell him to swing down to Louisiana sometime.
