People expect guys close to social security to write the same songs they did whacked out of their minds on psychedelics in their 20s.
Maybe I just look at PT too much.

quote:Yes. I had no idea about the lighting. Someone mentioned to me pre show that the lightshow was going to be off the charts. It was pretty dam amazing the way it was created 3 dimensional lights features and massive color sequences and effects.
They also have probably the most intense and creative lighting rig ever devised.

Phish peaked in the 90’s. Trey doesn’t have the chops he had back then. Listen to Phish 1.0. It’s undeniable. Compare a modern Tweezer to one from, say, 1994. He doesn’t play that riff the same way anymore.

Phish is constantly changing/progressing. They are currently peaking for the 3rd time in their long career. Really amazing and beautiful.

The shows at Orange Beach were nice. Happy crowd and great music.
Hopefully they make it more of a regular stop on the summer tour.

No. I’ve kept an eye on them since the disaster of Coventry. I still haven’t seen anything that would make me want to go see them again. And I’m totally right about the Tweezer riff. It’s been simplified.
