Frank Zappa had a ton load of people he used on his albums--including Bobby Beausoliel, who shortly thereafter joined up with Charlie Manson and remains in prison to this day for the Gary Hinman murder. BB's voice is in there somewhere on the Freak Out! album.

The story has it that Clapton heard his voice and thought he was a black soul singer. When he met him he was blown away by the fact he was a skinny pale white teenager.

"Keep on Running" is my favorite of theirs. That's one gifted dude. His voice has hardly changed in 50 years, too. I can't think of another continuously active singer for which I could say the same.
