I've never listened to their stuff, does it differ a lot from Phish?

I'll be the guy wearing an Abita beer tye-dye shirt and a box of Krystal burgers.

This being a TAB show and all, we can at best look at their last show here all the way back in 2005 at a Jazz Fest late night (only a few months before Katrina). Set I was typical TAB fodder, save for a riveting cover of "I Am the Walrus."

Set II, however, saw Trey bust out a very NOLA classics heavy performance. Standards included the Mardi Gras staple "Big Chief" as well as Meters hits "Hey Pocky A Way" and "Fire on the Bayou." The superjam also included a take on Robert Palmer's version of "Sneakin' Sally Thru the Alley" (which, of course, has The Meters playing the instruments on the studio take), a tune that Phish themselves have been known to often play. Guests included Mike Gordon on bass and Ivan Neville on keyboards.

I doubt these shows will be as star-studded as the last one but I'm still looking forward to it.

4.30.05 State Palace Theater, New Orleans LA

Set 1: In the Light > Drifting > What's Done, Cincinnati > Low, Come As Melody, Bunny Bread, Tomato Song, I Am the Walrus

Set 2: My Feet Can't Fail Me Now, Big Chief, Hey Pocky A-Way, Foxy Lady, Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley, Three Little Birds, Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)

Encore: Old Habits, 46 Days, Fire On the Bayou > Wang Dang Doodle > Fire On the Bayou

Dude, lighten up. Quit trying to act like such a hetty vet. At the end of the day you are still a 2.0 n00b.

And a gump.

If TAB was playin down the road from you, would you blow it off to preserve your heady status on the lot?

Pretty solid list.

You don't like Anders Osborne? I'm a big fan and his show at Tip's on Dec 6th should be great. Whenever he plays with Luther Dickinson they always bring the jamz and Paul Barrere from Little Feat will also be sitting in. Expect a shred-fest

Mardi Gras is early March, so expect more shows around then as well.

I do but I've seen him a million times so I'm in no hurry. If friends want to go, I'll tag along. If nobody is going, I'm content with staying home.
