No question. The Adrian Belew guitar solos on The Great Curve are worth the price of the album all by themselves.

Yea, it's a terrible studio album and even if it was great, nothing can top the Talking Heads album from that year.

Agreed. Reckoning and Dead Seat came out in 1981 but were recorded in 1980 and are WAY better than Go to Heaven. But it does have some great new material, just in an uninspired package.
I'll throw out Warren Zevon - Stand In the Fire for 1980. Honestly, I see it as a pretty terrible year with the long decline in music well underway.

i actually saw saxon open for triumph on their (triumph's)'allied forces' tour. my first concert, and they (saxon) were fugging LOUD. i picked up a few albums from them not long after the show, but they lost me when 'crusader' was released....i remembered thinking "no, not you guys too!", having been convinced they wouldn't possibly try pandering to the mainstream....
