Think of 5 albums that had such a profound effect on you they changed your life or the way you looked at it. They sucked you in and took you over for days, weeks, months, years. These are the albums that you can use to identify time, places, people, emotions. These are the albums that no matter what they were thought of musically shaped your world.

not in any particular order.....

10. U2- War
11. Garbage- Version 2.0
12. The Smiths- Meat is Murder
13. Pretty in Pink Soundtrack

I can recall when and where I was, and what I was doing when listening to these albums!

I could probably think of a few more but those are what immediately come to mind as far as evoking memories of time & place.

Metallica - S&M - after hearing anything by them without the symphony behind it just sounds like its missing

Offspring - Smash - Self Esteem was the first song I ever learning all the lyrics to

DC Talk - Jesus Freak - first time I realized that not all Christian music was "curch" muic

The Phantom of the Opera original cast recording - just all around amazing and what got me into watching more musicials.

Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory - my favorite band of my lifetime. Ive seen them 3 times live and have physicaly bought every cd they have. memember of LP underground.
