Pop rarely has any lasting endurance. Obviously, there are exceptions, but whereas heavy artists will be looking back at Sabbath, Zeppelin, Metallica for as long as those genres exist, pop has a relatively (by comparison) short shelf-life.
I mean, Britney was the biggest thing going. Before that it was Madonna and Michael J. Now, Michael did have a fairly outsized impact just because his career was a solid 50+ years, starting when he was effectively a kindergartner, and the pop princesses usually only squeeze out their hits from puberty to late 30s (Cher and Madonna were exceptions to that, of course).
I seriously doubt that TayTay will even be much of a thing in 10 years. Metallica will be a thing in 100 years, IMHO.

Better by a country mile.
Bigger? That's tough. Metalica's hay days were before social media.

She's been around for 20 years and is only 35.
I hope you are right, because I'm not a fan. But I think she has staying power. She seems to have that ability to reinvent herself, which you need to stick around.

she can keep writing the same break up songs well into her 40's I guess

I have a ticket stub from 1991. I remember me and my buddies complaining that they’d sold out with their Black Album. It was too radio-friendly

Taylor will be remembered forever just like The Beatles or Michael Jackson. Metallica will too but by a different group of people.

Did you see Metallica's tour? Was touring at the same time and playing multiple dates in each city. Sold them all out. Arenas just like Taylor.
Yeah but I already knew Metallica was huge. I didn't think anything of Swift until about 6-7 years ago outside of being some crossover country/pop singer.
I'll also add that an act like Metallica selling out a stadium isn't uncommon because of the 2nd hand parties buying up tickets and resale them on seat geek or stubhub. You want to see a true demand, Metallica seats on stubhub going for $40. I can almost guarantee, nosebleed 3rd night swifties are paying $300+ for them.
