That would be Carrie Brownstein. Better known as one of the founders of Sleater Kinney... Indie/Punk/Alternative girl-band from the 90's. They were pretty damn good as well.

I'm officially old. Carrie Brownstein isn't the chick from Sleater-Kinney, which is only one of the best punk bands of all time. I picked up Wld Flag just because it had a member of S-K. Same with the Corin Tucker Band.
Sleater-Kinney. Just buy all of their albums. They are awesome.

Exactly. It's like referring to Paul McCartney in the 70s as "the guy from Wings". Just makes me feel old. Sleater-Kinney is one of THE bands of my life. I absolutely adore them.

I got all of that from Baloo,it was VOR I was talking to with that post. He seemed not to think it was the same person.
