Went and watched the show in Nashville last night. Was my first rock concert, I had never really been exposed to kiss much before besides for rock and roll all night they put on a cool show and motley crue was bad arse I was already a pretty big fan of them and this made me one even more, although Mick mars is a cryptkeeper lol. Anyone else got to check out the tour this year?

Steel Panther is better than both of those crappy bands.

frick the haters, dude. First rock concert? Awesome!
I hope you had a blast. There is nothing like the power of live music. KISS and Mötley Crüe are a little heavy on the theatrics for some people's tastes. I've seen them both and they have their place.

Kiss was definetly heavy on the theatrics but it was cool to me lol maybe I'm easily impressed but it was a blast though I had nice seats luckily.

It is what it is and if you were entertained and had a good time, that is what it's all about..

i was at that show...loved all 3 bands. KISS was a little off for the 1st 3 songs. after that, they got the mix right and they sounded great. gene was the MVP of that show last night.

Yeah I had never heard of the treatment before I guess because they're an english band I guess but the guy beside ne was heckling them and told them to "speak english" the stupid was strong with him lol.

Gene definitely puts on a good show I'll give him that for sure.

While that concert pretty much sounds like my definition of hell, I'm glad you had your first rock concert experience. Music was meant to be heard live, and I hope this gets you out to see a whole lot more bands live and in person. It really is a great experience.

Imagine how awesome a rock concert can be when it isn't with a band that isn't 20 years past its sell-by date AND didn't absolutely suck balls in the first place. Just kidding (well, sort of).

KISS has always been blasted.......but if you like them .....screw everyone else.

They are supposed to be a fun experience. I saw them a month ago(it was my son's 1st concert) and he had a blast. I did too.

I dont really care if anyone else likes them or not......I saw over 22,000 people there rocking in Dallas , so they is ok with me.

Rock on brother!

Here's my Crue story.....

In Bossier, the Century Tel let's organizations come in and work the concession stands for a share of the take, as a fundraiser.

A buddy of mine - a Baptist youth pastor no less - asked me if I wanted to go work the concession stand with him/help his daughter's high school dance team's fundraiser or whatever. I was all in, loving the Crue and all.

This guy is so straight, he can't even say breast when referring to a chicken part mind you. So, we go work the stands, and make a pass through the arena a couple of times, right. One of which times is when your boy Tommy is talking while finishing up his drum solo.

We pass through there, here him go on a full out F bomb tirade about how much he loves playing his Effing drumbs for all us effers, all that.

We get back to the concession stand, and my buddy, the minister, looks at me, an with all seriousness says "well, I guess we knew where his eternal destination will be".

Obligatory CSB.

KISS puts on one helluva show. Saw them at the Cajun Dome during their Farewell tour in August 2000. They get a lot of hate on this board but F that noise. KISS is damn good.

Did not go to the tour this year, but I have watched kiss live and they are an awesome live band. I loved Motley Crue back when I was a kid, but for some reason I have never watched them live (They were broken up for a while though).

Ha, this was mine too in the summer of '79... It was the Dynasty tour and they played the Centroplex... I was in awe...

The next concert I would see was Police on the Syncronicity tour in '83 at the Assembly Center
