The most creative period of music was probably 1964 when The Beatles landed in America up until about 1979.

There are some incredible young musicians on YouTube right now. Pianists, guitarists, bassists and drummers that do things that blow your mind. They're not in the top 40 rotations but their work is out there for all to enjoy.
