Met him randomly in a gas station somewhere off I-10 in between BR and NOLA one time. He was wearing the whole crazy get-up. I can't believe I didn't take a picture with him

Really? I've never seen a show there. This is an acoustic set so I would assume it shouldn't be too bad. I do know Papa Mali's friends include Mike Dillon, Billy Iuso and others... I'm sure I'll be there.

100 hours of Jazz Fest to be streamed live

For the second year in a row cable network AXS TV will broadcast live from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The four-day, 100-hour broadcast will feature performances from Santana, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, The String Cheese Incident, John Fogerty and more.

quote:

The four days AXS TV will broadcast live from New Orleans are during the second weekend of the event - Thursday, May 1 through Sunday, May 4. While the entire broadcast schedule will be revealed soon, the following acts have confirmed they'll appear on AXS TV: Christina Aguilera Santana Arcade Fire Vampire Weekend Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters The String Cheese Incident John Fogerty Alabama Shakes Boz Scaggs The Avett Brothers Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue John Hiatt

Best part about this is that there will be pro-shot footage afterwards.
