There's people up in N.E. Alabama? I thought it was pretty well empty between Huntsville and Chattanooga. Guess they DO need some entertainment, then

I've been considering upgrading my p-ups in my knock-off LP. I assume the Slash p-ups are your treble. I've been looking for something that will give me a more aggressive crunch. How do you like them?
They are plenty aggressive without being a high output/distortion class pickup - they are A2s in the 8K range, so think classic PAF on the hotter side of that type's spectrum. They have a very fast recoil under your hands - absolutely no sag or latency. That's the real magic they possess IMHO. Not really bassy or bright or midrange honkey - good mix of each, nice and balanced. I tell my clients the Slash tie is somewhat of a misnomer - they could be labeled as Billy Gibbons pickups, Jimmy Page pickups, John Sykes pickups or Angus Young pickups for that matter and no one would question it. They slay in pretty much anything Gibson or Gibson'esque ... short-scale, set-neck and hard tail. At least they have in everything I've test drove them in. The only "con" is they are two-conductor like true PAFs, so no coil tapping or series/parallel options. Just the meat and potatoes.

Sounds like exactly what i'm looking for. The pups in their now have all kinds of feedback issues when the gain is too high. Sounds like these would not only fix that but also give me that edgier sound I was looking for.

Whatever you do stay away from Dimarzios. I've recently finally fixed one of my guitars after the mistake of putting a set of 36th Anniversary PAF reissues in it. They suck terribly bad.
