The Doors - LA Woman
It's probably been a good ten years since I listened to this album start to finish until tonight.
Fantastic album. Even the deep cuts are great !

I'm one of those folks in the "Jim Morrison was probably overrated, but The Doors overall weren't necessarily" camp.
Further, while I'm a big fan of a couple of tracks, I'm not enamored with large swaths of their work because a good bit of it is dated, again, IMHO.
I say all of that to say this, Riders on the Storm is a masterpiece and probably their best song (or alongside The End as 1a and 1b) - and the last thing Morrison ever did.
ETA: I think he would have appreciated the fact he went out at the top of his game, musically.

the "Midnight" bros with the first 2 posts)

Cars Hiss By My Window and The WASP (although maybe not a deep cut) are lesser known great songs. This album, The Doors, and Strange Days don't have any bad songs and are great start to finish.
Edit: Horse Latitudes on Strange Days is not good.

“Been Down So Long”, is a killer. Especially on the “Live in Detroit” album.

I know Five to One is on a different album, but it always amused/annoyed me that he mixed probabilities and odds: Five to One, baby...One in Five.
Those are not the same things.

I like the entire album, except Crawling King Snake.

Oddly enough this always makes me think of this little short parody of Apocolypse now.

When Jim Morrison wasn't fricking around and came to play, the Doors were as good as anyone.
