Kafka,

I don't know what you do "for a living," but I hope that you profit well from your knowledge, because you have a lot of it!

Billy Young - "Glendora" (1963)

Young (b. Dangefield Texas, 1941) was a protege of Otis Redding. Here's he's backed by Darlene Love & The Blossoms w/the Wrecking Crew at Gold Star Studios.

BION, this incredible R&B rocker was a cover of a Perry Como novelty from ten years earlier -- surprising in light of the rather strange lyrics...

The Stoppers - "Come Back Baby" (1966)

Apparently no one online knows who The Stoppers were or where they came from. This was their only single.

The Commands - "No Time For You"

The Commands - "Hey It's Love"

A great double-sided single from 1966. As befitting their name The Commands had a military connection, joining together at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Although this went to #1 locally and saw some national R&B chart action, one member was shipped overseas and the group disbanded

More details about The Commands than you ever dreamed existed
