The senseless murders in Texas today are just heartbreaking.
I always found the Procol Harum song "Whiter Shade of Pale" quite sad. I was looking for it today and found a version from 2006 with the Danish National Concert Orchestra. For me, the opening notes are even more haunting than when simply played on the organ. It's even sadder and appropriate for today. The more traditional orchestration of the song comes in on the second verse.
God Bless the families of the victims.

ETA: Gary Brooker's voice sounded as good in 2006 as it did in 1967.
