Let Sturgill, Chris Stapleton, and Jason Isbell continue to pick apart modern country one album at a time. Looking forward to this one. Sturgills last album was awesome and I read somewhere it only cost around $5k to make. Talk about a return on investment.

There's a new song in the OP's link, also. Probably the same one.

Isabel may be the best songwriter out there right now. Always have him and Sturgill in the mix.... always.

I hope this will be as good.

Alright this song is badass. Especially love how it closes out by just jamming for over 2 minutes.

Really like the new song, but it is definitely different from Metamodern. Has kind of a psychedelic sound to it. Good stuff.

Metamodern had many psychedelic elements to it, huge reason why that record is so great.

This guy is just such a badass. He is authentic.

Exactly what I was thinking. I can't think of a country album near as psychedelic as that one.
