A lot of their songs aren’t hard to play but sound damn good.

I've discovered that. The thing about Deleo's bass parts is the bones of it are not hard to get down, but he throws in a lot of little nuance stuff, like Interstate Love Song for example, that is really cool and just makes the song when you get it right. I've seen a bunch of folks cover that song and a bunch of bass players miss a lot of stuff that is really going on in that song.

I am the bass player in a STP Tribute band, and Deleo's bass parts are anything but ordinary and are complex. Not that they are essentially hard to play but they are tough with the fingering and what he does throughout a song. Guy is a real talent.

Very cool. Robert is a great songwriter. As a bass player, I’ve discovered over the years that there were bands that I just gravitated too. Then I learned later that most bands I really like, the bass player is one of the main songwriters.

Rush
YES
The Police
Iron Maiden
STP
Pink Floyd
Zeppelin

and many others

Van Halen
The cult
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin

These are my influence and favorite bands. All have great bass players

Exactly. ILS is a great example.

Yeah, that was a great interview. I enjoyed Robert and his brother on Billy Corgan's podcast even though it was more like they were interviewing Billy because he can't stop talking.

If you've ever watched Billy's podcast, its like they have a special guest each week and they get to interview Billy.

Saw them live in the early 2000's. They had no opening band. They came out to Shine On You Crazy Diamond...Weiland in a 3 piece suit.

They were amazing live. That band had some amazing musicians.

We're actually closing the show tomorrow. We swap back and forth, sometimes they close, sometimes we close. I have a commitment i have to be at while Vedder Man will be on so we're last.

Well the tigers sucked but don’t let that stop you grabbing a show tonight. :)
