Every song is legit and its a great listen all the way through taking in both discs at the same time. The production is top notch.

Listened to it last night for the first time in a while.

Each song has a certain sound to it that fits in the overall album theme.

By far my favorite of the "modern" Peppers albums. The fact that the Dixie Chicks beat this out for album of the year is criminal IMO.

Disc 1

Disc 2

Thoughts on this masterpiece?

I love it. There's a youtube video somewhere with just Frusciante's guitar tracks. I have listened to that in its entirety a few times.

Favorite tracks: Strip My Mind, Hey, Readymade & Turn it Again

Just like all their albums, this one is fantastic, and I agree that every song was great. It's really hard to pick a favorite of theirs, but in my opinion, my favorite album of theirs is Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Though Californication, By the Way, Stadium Arcadium, Mother's Milk, and One Hot Minute are great too.

Very good album. Wore it out the first Summer it came out. Perfect soundtrack for this time of the year.

That album is near perfection. It is a very rare thing for a band to put out an album that has every song on as a hit. This one is a double album so they accomplished an amazing thing with this body of work.

It will be one that you will listen to 30 years from now.

Sonically its as good as it gets. The entire thing flows with perfection.

My mind is also blown that this album is 10 years old as of yesterday.

John Frusciante at his best. If I had to pick one song to show how good of a guitar player he is it would be Turn It Again. It's a damn shame he left the band and started making shitty electronic music.

I remember when the album came out that summer and I absolutely wore it out. I went to a camp that didn't allow any phones/electronics/etc and I snuck my CD player and that album in and would listen to it every night after lights out. It was worth the risk of getting it taken away just to be able to listen to the music. One of my favorite albums ever. Turn it Again, Hard to Concentrate, Charlie, etc. Every song was good.

That was one of the last albums to come out that really blew me away. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I really dig Wet Sand, Warlocks, Tell Me Baby, Dani California, (which has a great video).

One of my favorite all time albums. Every song is great and it flows perfectly. The perfect send off album for Frusciante.

I enjoy I'm With You quite a bit. It's actually one of my favorite RHCP albums. It took a while to grow on me, but I really love it's sound. I'm Beside You, the I'm With You B-Side collection is also really amazing as well and probably better than the actual album.

I definitely recommend giving IWY a listen.

Wet Sand.

My favorite song ever by then. Outro solo is utterly withering.

It's a great double album and gets a lot of unwarranted hate IMO. I put it just behind BSSM and Californication as my favorites. It might tie BTW.

Huh, this cd has been sitting in my side door for about 8 years now. I listened to it a bunch when it first came out. I believe I will knock the dust off of it today. I remember it being super funky.
