I enjoy I'm With You quite a bit. It's actually one of my favorite RHCP albums. It took a while to grow on me, but I really love it's sound. I'm Beside You, the I'm With You B-Side collection is also really amazing as well and probably better than the actual album.
I definitely recommend giving IWY a listen.
What was the general consensus of I'm with You?
I tried searching for it using the board search function but found nothing.
I feel like no one really talked about this album.

There were several tracks that I enjoyed from I'm With You. There were others that I really disliked.

I'm With You thread
Seems like it got mixed reviews, but more people liked it than didn't. This was before there was a music board also...

There's a documentary on the making I watched a a year or so ago.

Pretty mixed
I've seen equal amounts of people that love it, hate it, and are indifferent.
Plenty of people are also still mad about Frusciante leaving.

I've never listened to it all the way through. Was so mad John left I never even gave it a chance, plus Rain Dance Maggie wasn't very good. I'll probably give it a listen soon.

Look Around & Annie Wants a Baby are two good tracks

I agree that Rain Dance Maggie is pretty weak. Look Around or Monarchy would have been a much better lead off single. I do enjoy the bass line in the verse of Maggie though.
Some good ones off the album are Did I Let You Know, Goodbye Hooray, Police Station, and Look Around.
I also highly recommend I'm Beside You LINK. I think it's much better than IWY. It has some really interesting stuff on it.
Victorian Machinery, Long Progression, Open/Close, Pink as Floyd, This is the Kitt, and In Love Dying are my favorites.
EDIT: Forgot about Hometown Gypsy

I can't tell of your joking or what but I keep laughing at this sentence

I used to listen to this non-stop in grad school.
Snow
Dani
Strip my Mind
Tell me Baby
Wet Sand
Etc.
But the entire album was playable - both discs, front to back.
Something GNR tried to do with Use Your Illusion and I think RHCP trumped them.
We used to play Chili Peppers as our #1 alternative band at my high school radio station. Back then in the 90's they were still "alternative" and "college" and we had a bigger radio station than most colleges, so as student DJ's we were told to play them non-stop with a listening base of 500,000 listeners...before they were truly a huge hit nationally.

Seems correct
Nothing since SA was good IMO
A few good songs, that's about it.
