Do I have permission to make a case for it as best album of the 1990's rock?

I am still addicted. Jesus, the whole album is mind-boggling good.

Hard rifs

Beautiful meolodies

Catchy hooks

Vin's voice is not quite as rip-offish of Vedder as most singers are

Songs that are deeper than average 90's band

Very hardcore sound at times

the 90's-style ballad, too, appears.

I think it has it all. Of course, this is extremely debatable.

*"Neenah Menasha" and "Fields" got little airplay as "Plowed" and "Molly."

It's just one of those albums. I swear I like it better than "Ten", "Superunknown", and "Dirt."...bold stuff, there.

See for yaself

Great album indeed. Best is definitely debatable.

But I recall the lead singer not sounding good at all in a live environment. Of course I only recall hearing them perform on talk shows which are notorious for shitty sound.

Molly and Plowed were the best songs on the album in my opinion though.

had this out and playing it the other day. My sixteen yr old daughter loved it and took and burned her a copy. I love this album. Throwing Copper is the best 90s rock album for the record.

Word, "Throwing Copper" has aged amazingly well. I'd give STP's "Purple" a strong second.

I hate that record, if for no other reason that it introduced the word placenta into music...

it's "rotting pinata" for the record...and i don't think it's better than any of the albums you listed in your "case"...or live's "throwing copper".
