I think Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) by Edison Lighthouse is one of the catchiest songs I’ve ever heard but compared to other 70’s hits, it just doesn’t ever get played on classic radio. What are some songs you love that you think should’ve been bigger than they were?

Built to Spill- Carry the Zero

This the best song ever to my ears. And while it is beloved by people familiar with it, it’s not that well known.

Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money in My Hand

It had a brief little time where it was played but this was a great frickin song and I’d think would be bigger than it was

I have approximately 10,000 of these. Do you want them in alphabetical order, or by height?

Moby Grape - "It's A Beautiful Day Today"

I keep expecting this to be used in a feel-good ad campaign

Bonnie and The Treasures - "Home of the Brave"

A Spectorian extravaganza, written by written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil on the then timely subject of boys with long hair being expelled from school. Released on Phil S's record label but produced (officially, at least) by Spector protege Jerry Riopelle, in classic everything-but-the-kitchen-sink style. This should have been a monster but got blindsided a competing and inferior version from Jody Miller on a bigger label, which made the top 30.

Bonnie & The Treasures: Lead singer Charlotte O'Hara in the center, with Sherlie Matthews and Clydie King

L-R: Phil Spector's brilliant arranger Jack Nitzsche, P.S., Jerry Riopelle
