It's music, completely subjective
. Metallica is my favorite band of all time and there are plenty of their songs I don't like.

I love Sleep Token. It took me a few listens to connect with their music, but now I’m totally hooked. The new single (Emergence) is peak Sleep Token.

I like Sleep Token a lot. Take Me Back to Eden is my favorite track from them, I’ll have to listen to new one tomorrow, had no idea they released a single today!

Didn't like it at all. I like some of their songs, but I guess I just "don't get it".
I'm a huge fan of theirs but even I'm luke warm on some of their stuff, which is obviously fine.
I liked this song ok the first time but after a few I really started to enjoy it immensely. To each their own

I listened to the new one this morning, and it was pretty good. It may grow on me more, we’ll see. At any rate, I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album

OK so I listened to it a few more times. I actually do like it, but I think they could have done away with Vessel's voice modulator on the "wrap your arms around me" parts. I feel like it's kind of forced in there and doesn't add any value to the song. I would have liked to just hear his regular voice there.
But outside of those parts, it's a good song. As usual, the drumming is superb. The hi-hat and ride cymbal grooves really stand out in this song.
6/10 for me
For reference if I had to rate their best songs
10/10 The Summoning
9/10 TMBTE
9/10 Vore
9/10 Alkaline
8/10 Hypnosis
8/10 The Offering

Well it didn’t take long to grow on me. The new song with some good speakers….friggin awesome

The Offering

Yep. They have a lot of depth and subtleness to their sounds and good speakers really do wonders for some of their stuff.
They also blend so many genres into songs, it for sure takes being in the right headspace for some. If you’re in the mood for more metal and get hit with the r&b/hip hop heavier songs, going to not sit right.

There are 3 songs on there that hit some incredible riffs and vocal breakdowns -
The Summoning
Take Me Back to Eden
Vore
Definitely listen to Gods

Indeed. Those subtleties are what push them ahead of the pack for me.
On another note, I was kind of expecting a scream outro on the new song on my first listen and was a little bummed we didn’t get it. But after some more listens, the saxophone outro is perfect for it. Can’t wait to hear more.

New single just dropped. I’ll give it a few more tries, but my initial thoughts are not very good. Lyrics about sticking to you like Caramel seem corny and lazy, and just a bit too poppy. They kick it up at the end, but it just feels forced by that point.
I’m still looking forward to the whole album, but this one seems to be dud compared to the first single.

100%!
I do like Caramel on first listen --- which means I'll probably hate it later
