Then it is not for you, and that's ok. You prolly were never into EDM. Dubstep is not my favorite genre but it is ok.

True. I don't dislike his music, but his show at Bonnaroo was pretty badass

I was wayy against dubstep at first but ive had to adjust because it plays at every party i go to

I like the mainstream stuff like "Cinema" "Lights" and others with strong chorus's and minimal retard noises

Seriously dude, I hope this thread gets deleted instead of anchored for the shitty thread title.

I don't get Skrillex either FWIW.

This...saw him at Bonnaroo and it was a great show. People really get into his set and he had a great stage/lights/videos to go with his music. I don't enjoy dubstep that much but it was entertaining to say the least.

I love EDM. It's my favorite genre.

I don't get skrillex either.

The first time I heard dubstep, I realized at that moment that I knew EXACTLY how my dad felt the first time he heard bass thumpin' rap (Egyptian Lover, Jam On It, etc.).

I was way out of touch with the current musical trends until TD. I became at least in touch if not a fan. But if pop music goes the way of dubstep, I'll be content to stick with my 80s music (among other genres).

i felt comfortable with that fact a long time ago. i know what i like and ill keep an open ear for new music, but in the end, ill more than likely fall back on my favorites.

found a lot of good music through this site as well though.

I completely agree with you. I'm not a big Skrillex guy. I made a ton of EDM and Dubstep jokes about pressing one button, but I caught his set at Bonnaroo. That shite was insane and a hell of a time.

Skrillex is Sonny Moore, who was actually a pretty successful frontman in the 2000s for From First To Last. His voice is definitely altered a ton in that one. It's higher and processed. He's not awful, but he's not a vocalist. Definitely just a singer.

He's not my favorite but has definitely put on one of the better shows I've seen.

All this is absolutely right. With a lineup featuring Avicii, Wiz Khalifa, Porter Robinson, Big Gigantic, and many others where everyone brought their A-game Skrillex stole the show at Buku a couple months back in NOLA and the whole production in addition to the music was why imo

To me, it sounds like electro/ techno for people with extreme ADD.
