Sarcasm is tough to translate on the internet. I haven't quite figured it out yet. We need a sarcasm font or something. It wouldn't be as much fun then though.

any of you guys get/download the new May '77 box set?

I downloaded it last week and been listening the shite out of it. Pristine sound and all just killer shows. Hard to argue against may '77 being the pinnacle of the dead.

and as much as it pains me to say, the 5/17 show in tuscaloosa is the best of the bunch

Coliseum, University Of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL (5/17/77)

Disc 1
1. New Minglewood Blues [5:46]
2. Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo> [10:28]
3. El Paso [4:48]
4. They Love Each Other [7:42]
5. Jack Straw [5:37]
6. Jack-A-Roe [5:59]
7. Looks Like Rain [8:10]
8. Tennessee Jed [8:46]
9. Passenger [3:36]
10. High Time [8:32]
11. Big River [6:39]

Disc 2
1. Sunrise [4:35]
2. Scarlet Begonias> [13:02]
3. Fire On The Mountain [13:14]
4. Samson and Delilah> [6:43]
5. Bertha> [6:16]
6. Good Lovin’ [6:02]
7. Brown-Eyed Women [5:34]

Unfortunately the phish "discussion" usually has very little substance, just 20 page arguments.
All the Panic fans always gay up all the threads

Are way worse. I have tried and can't get into Panic. Just doesn't do it for me, no real reason. So when people defend them as a great jam band I get lost.

Phish is, in fact, a great jam band.

Not yet. If there's a year that is close to unanimously being the best, that's it.

I wish Donna Jean wasn't there though.

can't say i'm surprised to hear that lol

panic is playing here in KC tomorrow. i've never been a huge fan and definitely can't justify spending $70 to see them nowadays but thinking about going to the venue in hopes of scoring a cheap arse ticket. always been a Herring fan and havent seen panic since he's joined. i'm thinking $15-20 is about the tops i'm willing to drop on a ticket

Ha, aint that the truth. She can ruin a great song like no other. like nails on a chalkboard

I wish someone would make a filter that could filter her out of the mix on recordings lol

That's not surprising. For a jam band, phish sure do play the same cookie cutter shite over and over show after show.

For 3.0 you could make that argument. From '93-'00 , however, the jamming was all over the place.

He has. He just has a problem with trolling. He can't help himself. Best just to laugh and let him tire himself out.

You haven't been around here much?

Just ignore Burt. Or play along with him.

I am a much happier person since I took Trey's advice.
