Sam Hunt Question

I am not a fan of country music from the last 15 or 20 yrs but I listened to Sam Hunt's entire album over the last few days and thought it was good. Some songs have a very early 2000s pop/r&b, back road, prom party feel tp them, is he considered good?

I was dragged along to one of his concerts by a former gf. He was wearing a flat billed hat, a v-neck, skinny jeans, and Jordans and piped in rap music in between his songs. It was the most confusing country concert ever.

Tier 1 (the worst)

Tier 2 ( bad)

Went floundering with the dude in Florida several years back. He was pretty cool dude back then at least. Guess the fame and the skinny jeans not letting enough blood get to his head. But hey, he's got women practically on a waiting list to touch one of his arm hairs so I can't hate on the guy.
