Robin Trower, 2008 at the Texas Club. I introduced my then 18 yr old son to a legendary "Master Guitarist". Trower was up in age at this point of his career and my son told me he looked like PawPaw when he walked out. But when he plugged his classic Fender Strat into that huge stack of Marshalls then cranked it to 11, the Texas Club exploded in sound. What a fantastic show, that old man delivered and I was so happy to see my son blown away by it all. What fantastic display of guitar work on this night.
Over the past 40 years, the Texas Club has hosted many great shows. Yeah it's old, in a bad hood (never had any problems), but it is a simple and basic "Music Hall" that has much concert history.

Beauvior Park has some pretty good bands every week right now.

I saw the 2011 show. Same place. He rocked. Had Davey Pattison singing with him.

Saw him at the House of Blues! Was more blown away than ever even though he was old then too.
