Hard to believe that album came out in '77. That and Talking Heads first album were really ahead of their time.

i've never heard this before

it's really good. his Wiki page says he was influenced by Miles Davis and that "Verlaine is credited as having been instrumental in bringing what were seen as "surf" guitars, the Jaguar and Jazzmaster, into the rock arena."

You can count on one hand the number of guitar records better than Marquee Moon.

My favorite song of theirs is on the next album. Days is such a fantastic song. I have heard the guitar influence from it in bands from REM to Real Estate.
