Some of the older country music fans on here probably know him and if you've ever watched Beverly Hillbillies, you have probably seen him guest star or heard him play the banjo on the opening theme song.
I had the pleasure of meeting him and actually picking some music with him a few years ago. A day I will never forget.

He could pick a banjo like no other.

Sad day for any bluegrass fan, earl was the king.. I had the pleasure to watch him perform when I was a kid back home in the mountains of Va.

I think Earl was the last "1st" generation bluegrass guy that was left. He will be missed
