I hate to see a guy with big music credentials use them to bludgeon another musician. I really do, and it’s not just for the display of crass ego and lack of gratitude that you display while being so blessed and accomplished . It’s also because you guys should be on the same team. You share a thing , a passion for music, that should breed some kind of respect. Particularly in an industry where commercial credentials and worthwhile artistry have only a very casual relationship. It’s like Bill Belichik taunting a HS coach with his super bowl rings. It’s just small and petty and reflects poorly on your character. Poor showing.Steeped in hubris. Cringe worthy. Worst thing I’ve read in a while.

I only brought them up for two reasons.

1) Stringed was telling someone with less knowledge INCORRECT info.

I tried to correct that info.

2) *HE* then pulled the "Im a professional musician, bubby"

*HE* tried to throw his weight around not knowing that he was talking to someone who knows a lot more about the topic.

In your scenario, it would be like the HS coach saying "In the pros they train a cartain way"

Then someone shows up and says "Nope, they don't do it that way"

Then the HS coach says "Well *I'm* a coach, I know what Im talking about, I coach HS ball, bubby"

Then the second person says "Well..Im a pro coach with a lot of experience and Im telling you that's not the way it is done"

Had the HS coach not tried to puff himself up, maybe he would not have been set straight.

This all started with someone (Stringed) trying to show himself to be a VIP (I've met Rick but this is how he is "cheating" in creating his music) yet talking about things he doesn't fully understand.

Ok man. If you say so. I had a hard time reading it, I can’t imagine writing it, but everybody has their own standard for self-aggrandizement I guess. Congratulations on the stellar career. I’m sure I’ve heard your stuff and enjoyed it.

I think if you had a disagreement with Belichek and then told him "I'm a professional coach, bubby", I bet he might throw out those rings.
