I want to buy a record player, which will be my first one ever. I want to stay under $500. Are there any recs outside of the Pro-jet or Audio Technica stuff I'm seeing online?

The pro ject is hard to beat in that price range. Excellent entry level table.

I have a Uturn which I am pleased with. But if you have the money the pro-ject is a better table

Don't know if you'd be interested in something second hand, but I may be selling mine here soon. It's a year old with some upgrades I made to it.
