I think we need a definition of the word recent.

That Bruno Mars 'Locked out of Heaven' song is gonna be around for a looooooong time. It's a perfect office radio/filler music that just never goes away.

The Emeli Sande (sp?) song "Next To Me" is the same way.

This is a lock for timeless classic.
I even have to admit the song is catchy - even if all their songs sound like a chimp is trapped in the snare drum. That bass line is d*mned catchy.

Bjork's "Army of Me" is already a timeless classic as it's 20 years old.

If I never hear that song again, it'll be too soon...
(not a slam on you... I also hate all the songs in the OP too)
I'm guessing the thread should say "recent hits" and not "songs"

I also think Goyte´s Somebody I Used to Love will stand the test of time.

"Shameful Metaphors" by Chevelle
"I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons
"All of the Lights" by Kanye West
pretty much all hits by Foo Fighters

Gonna agree with the fun. While I'm not typically a fan of radio pop at all, their stuff like We Are Young and Some Nights have that kind of anthemic quality about them similar to a lot of 80s hits that are still popular today. I have a feeling they'll be around for some time

Yeah, I can also hear the "some nights I stay up…" intro coming on in 20 years and people jamming out. Kudos to those guys, I liked his voice back in the format.

I think foo fighters will stand the test of time as one of the last great rock bands

I doubt Wagon Wheel goes away very quickly. It's too enjoyable to sing fricked up.
