It's hard to believe that Vulgar Display of Power was released over 20 years ago. Here's my rank (excluding the Metal Magic/Power Metal days and the live album).

1. - Vulgar
2. - FBD
3. - TGST
4. - Cowboys
5. - RTS

Have any of you read Rex's book?

Read and it was ok, I like Rex because he seams like a good kat there was some cool behind the scenes stuff which is really what I read for. He was really about to kill himself with alcohol more so than Dime(alcohol) and Phil(Drugs & Alcohol).

I thought it was ok too. I wish it would have focused more on the songwriting process, but I guess that will come when Phil releases his book (if that happens).

I saw him with Kill Devil Hill about two years ago and he looked like Willie Nelson just came out of Auschwitz. His hair and beard were solid gray and he looked like he weighed about 80 pounds. I thought he could die at any second.

Anyway my list
FBD
VDOP
CFH
TGSTK
RTS

I think they're all great albums and the Terry Glaze stuff is pretty good too.

He had like some kind of problem with his liver or pancreas, thought I heard him say if he was to drink again he would literally die. Might not be accurate but close. I know him and Phil always stayed close, I think he left down just to switch up the lifestyle.

He had some kind of surgery on his liver due to excessive drinking and Phil tried to help him get sober but he didn't want to. That's why he left Down.

He would probably die if he stoped just like Lemmy.

Yes, I remember Phil saying this at a Down show. That the reason he was no longer with the band was because he couldn't quit drinking. Ironic.

I'd rank them like this as well. Far Beyond Driven is just so damn heavy, love it.
