Not trying to start one of "those threads" but ha anyone noticed how many urban acts visit the River Center now? You never hear of any country tours comin thru anymore and I get that we are between NOLA, Laffy and Houston but we still used to get them. Are these acts coming so much because they are cheap? Does anyone have any info?

The city has a very large black population and no rock radio station to advertise rock shows. Shinedown is coming in March, by the way.

Probably not a lot of country at the River Center because Bayou Country Superfest is so big.

No rock radio station to promote
Won't see too many big rock concerts come through BR

Stone temple pilots show was half full and people were giving tickets away to that

Duran Duran and neon trees as well

The rivet center is also terrible at promoting too
