Be aware they are not being truth with what the allow and don't allow. The website says one thing and then you get to the gate and they have actual pictures more in depth. They need to stop doing this to people

Could you not bring in your machete or?

I’ve never had trouble packing for entertainment events. What was the culprit?

Ok spill it. What kind of dumb item did you try and get in with? A knife or alcohol?

It said on the accepted items: folding chairs. I brought a folding chair set that are connected with shade. It is a little bit bigger that the single chair with cover but not by much. Also, it was was smaller than people who bought huge umbrellas in to cover themselves

specifically prohibited are chairs that connect or otherwise create a connection when deployed. You can bring 2 chairs but you can’t bring one chair that is designed for 2

In a crowd of thousand of those it impairs mobility much more

Additionally people are already weird about “owning” space so hard walls like stringing connected chairs would contribute to that issue

Hmmm. So stacking single chairs on top of each other with a group of 10 or more people or in a circle doesn't? Saw that all over yesterday.Yeah, now I see your point. Makes sense now. Not really though.

You don’t have to like it but it’s measurably easier to walk in between two non connected chairs than through the middle of a couch. There’s got to be some line on structures allowed in and that is the one they drew.

Honestly I’d be cool with no foldable chairs in much larger portions of the fairgrounds.

because in a crowd control situation 2 chairs linked together create a barrier that 2 single chairs do not. It’s just where they decided to draw the line. Is what it is

Damn what a thread…I’m used to metal shows/festivals, so when I realized you were actually bitching about chairs and sitting down at a live music event, I became instantly fascinated…I hope this thread lasts a long time….I’ll need to reread this when I’m having trouble understanding the world.

Can you still bring cameras in? I am considering bringing my dslr in on Sunday. I brought a bridge camera in with no problem a few years ago.
