The only slight hope is that the source is a very high position at Shell (the main sponsor for Jazz Fest) I can confirm that much. I also think he could just be messing with Dave and his friends, but also find it odd that he even knows who Pretty Lights is.

Either way, I am not going to that after being out in the sun all day.

Another connection is that Preservation Hall Jazz Band is playing the entire set with Pretty Lights, and the next night Trey is performing with them for the Midnight Preserves series.

Krasno and Hot 8 will also be playing. If there was a Pretty Lights show to go to, this would be it. I saw Sigur Ros at Champions Square (in addition to Gleason Gras and pre-Saints games) and it isn't a bad venue.
