Recorded live before an invited audience; Joe Jackson's double album "Big World."

I played the hell out of that album back in the day. Had it on cassette, though, and didn’t realize it was two LPs.

What was on the 4th? Was it smooth?

ETA: Ignore dumb question. It wouldn't be smooth due to the likelihood it would ruin the fang in the tonearm cobra belonging to some careless owner.

Headlined the first concert I attended. The Cars, Cheap Trick and Eddie Money also played that day. I was so fricked up.

As was Chicago III

Lowdown

Complete with Kath's wah wah solo on a song he told Cetera 'whenever I play that solo I'll do it with an I-don't-give-a-shite attitude'

Frank Zappa was the first artist to debut with a double album, The Mothers of Invention's "Freak Out!" from 1966.

This isn't my favorite song from the album but it's a good song and is probably more accessible to the uninitiated. It's more of a straight rock tune.

Trouble Every Day

There are a lot of good songs on the album that cover some range. This is more on the avant garde side; it's also great when performed live.
