Anyone else going? No work on Friday makes this a weekend show. Seen them 3-4 times before and loved every show. Kind of weird that there isn't a new album announced given this tour but I'll take what I can get with this band.

New album called Woodstock in June, but they play mostly the previous 2 albums on this tour.

Just saw PTM in DC a week ago. It was an amazing show. Have stepped up their production and visuals.

I may go check them out on Thursday. Last time, and first time, I saw Portugal.the Man was in April 2012 at the HOB in Nola. The drummer walked off stage mid-show after an argument. Band left the stage and returned 5 minutes later apologizing and played a stripped down acoustic set. Later on the drummer from the opening band came out and help them close out the night. It was a very memorable night to say the least.

Some of their early stuff is about growing up it Wasilla. My favorite song of theirs is The Dead Dog which was a dive bar/strip club I used to frequent. I suppose I was one of the people he was singing about

The last 2 albums are easily their best. You could listen to the Evil Friends album straight thru. But specifically check out Purple Yellow Red and Blue, Atomic Man, Modern Jesus, Evil Friends, Holy Roller.

On the In the Mountain in the Cloud album, check out So American, Senseless, and All Your Light.

I think this band is insanely underrated on this board. And they put on a ridiculous show. There is no way you won't be into it.

Thanks I'll give those two albums a spin today. Essentially off work tomorrow so might as well check it out I guess.

- Halfway through evil friends is pretty good, i may check them out tonight.

Friends trying to get me to go tonight. How do they compare to MMJ or AltJ? Besides Beezelblocks, I almost fell asleep at AltJ. Also, MMJ was a little too slow for me as well.
