Buy a looper. I have the one shown below and it is great. You can record up to 40 loops, each up to 4:00 minutes each, and can do endless overdubs over the loops. This one has a decent set of drums, and also has a metronome which is very helpful !

Watched the video, that looks pretty cool.
Who carries those new?
Guitar Center has a few used ones, but I would rather buy a new one.

I bought mine off Amazon. It was about $110 including shipping. I've had it for over a year and use it every day. It will definitely inspire you to play more. And it's built like a tank !

Did it have a good instruction manual? Because I would need that.
The drum sound is decent and that could solve some of my problems I think.

It came with an instruction paper, but I would recommend watching a couple of the many You Tube tutorials available. It's really easy to use.

Thanks man, I'm gonna get me one.

One thing I forgot to mention is that it doesn't come with ac adapter. If your buying off Amazon you should buy the ac adapter at the same time.
I didn't, and couldn't use it for the couple of days it took for the adapter to get ordered and arrive !
I think the adapter was $15.00
Doesn't have the option to use batteries.

Thanks for the heads up on that.
Do you know what voltage it is?

Are you playing acoustic electric? My fender Acoustic amp has a looper built in.

Yes, but I'm plugging directly into the recorder right now. Not using an amp.
If I can do a 4 minute loop with drums, that would work perfectly especially if I can separate them onto different tracks and it looks like you can with that pedal. It has 2 outputs.

What kind of guitar did you buy?
I dabbled in bass ~20 years ago (didn't ever really get even decent). I had been thinking about buying an electric guitar for a few years now, and finally got the itch to go do it about a month ago.
I mostly have been just using guitar tabs / youtube videos to play lead stuff that I like for now to get my fingers working.

Guitar Center
Unless you have to have something immediately, forget Guitar Center exists. Sweetwater and Amazon all day.

If the question is "what now?", the answer is "don't stop". I have been playing 20+ years and I still am finding new things to learn, new techniques, new all kinds of stuff. There is no stopping point. You just keep adding logs on the fire.

But you can try stuff out at Guitar Center, then buy it somewhere else.

Never had not a single issue with Guitar Center. They have treated me well. Sweetwater as well.
Amazon, decent for returns, but you risk getting copies that aren’t real. It is happening. When you see that Sennheiser mic at $100 less that GC or Sweetwater, watch out.
