i'll be at phil...his band is excellent and they do some neat arrangements. also, JF-news related:

quote:

Phish bassist Mike Gordon will bring his five-piece band to the Crescent City in May. The band will make its New Orleans debut at the Joy Theater on Friday, May 3.

I'm so conflicted now hearing all the reports about Phil killing it last night. I have tix to JJ Grey who I think is great live, especially with Samantha Fish and NMA. And then I've been getting a bug to go see Allman Betts at HOB ever since Berry Jr rocked Shakedown last month.

Amy Helm is in town too and could (should) show up tonight with Phil to re-create this magic: LINK

Ahhhhh too much, need a gummy and a couple beers to settle myself down. Good problems fellas

They teased Fire after Scarlet last night, so you got that one coming down the pipe. They had incredible energy last night. Cody would be proud ha.

JJ Grey w Samantha Fish opening is the one I’ve been waiting for! Got great tickets months ago, saw them both live at the Telluride blues festival last year, they’re both incredible. JJ’s show is phenomenal.

how was the JJ/samantha show?
there was so much good music last night to go see it was ridiculous

we stuck with Phil and were well rewarded
another high energy show after a slowish start and Eric krasno came on in set 2.
the crowds at the joy were great both nights and as always a show there is hassle free

JJ Grey was awesome. Scott Sharrard and Eric McFadden sat in.

Samantha Fish was great opening, as was NMA.
