Helter Skelter was crazy good. I can't believe he can still sing that song. The light show for it was incredible too. It felt like the whole arena was vibrating.
I love that he always ends each show with Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, and The End.

I still have chills thinking about last night. What a show!! My favorite was I’ve got a feeling and that isn’t usually one of my favorite Beatles song. It had such a nice heavy vibe to it. And seeing John and Paul singing back and forth again was amazing.

Sounds like it was awesome!
How does Now and Then come off? Do they do the same thing with the virtual John?

I just came across a list of songs he’s done post Beatles in concert and came up with about 60 songs he could play that would be as good as he’s current set list

Something is always the showstopper. Such a cool version and tribute to George Harrison. The closing run starting with Lady Madonna is incredible.

We had a great time at the show. For me, it started a bit slow and I was having a time getting loosened up. I eventually got there.
I enjoyed Paul's playng and singing. He is quite the specimen to be doing this at 83 YO. I am not the biggest fan of all the AI production stuff, but I understand it is necessary for a big venue to fill up the space. That said, it was not too overboard.
Entry into the venue was a little stressful--there only like 3 entrances.
I could do without a drone flying around the whole time.
My dad had a blast and I was glad to spend the afternoon and evening with him to chip away at his bucket list. My highlights were Band on the Run, Blackbird, Hey Jude, Carry that Weight, and Let it be. Would do it again 100%.

How lively was the crowd? I imagine the average age is pretty high...were they still able to bring it?

Crowd was tame. I’d say 65% sitting 35% standing

A few criers when they did the sentimental stuff. A few chompers talking during show.

Has misted me up every time I’ve seen him live. One of my favorite songs of all time.

Did he do it with the ukulele? He always tells the story about George loving the ukulele.

What was striking to me was how there wasn’t a single empty seat in the entire arena at the end of the show. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a concert where some people didn’t leave early to beat the traffic. Everyone knew the legend they were seeing and appreciated how good he still is at his age.

I never do that. I’m paying to hear the music, I want to hear the music.
The closest I come is when I see The Eagles. I’ve seen them enough times to know that invariably, they’re going to close with Don Henley, center stage, singing “Desperado” with a spotlight on him. I generally start heading for the exit and watch the song from there.

A couple next to us left before the encore. I was like, are you crazy!! Saving 30 minutes isn’t worth missing that closing encore.

Well… maybe someone left.
But it was pretty jam packed until the very end. I was on the side of the stage so I had a great view of the entire setup and I didn’t see an empty seat.

quote:Yeah, he told the story of how George played his new tune for him on a ukulele. Then he played a few bars on a uke George gave him and then it transformed into another full on show stopper.

Interesting that they cut booze sales off about 20 minutes before the start show to drive people to their seats . At first I was like WTF, then I realized it made it so much better at the start not to have to constantly let late people to their seat at the start. Everybody was basically locked in from Help! to The End.
Just some of the songs I loved:
- Help -took a simple song and made it a full on Rocker to start the show off
- Blackbird was cool letting the bird fly from the "cage".... (didn't know it was in response to segregation)
- Live & Let Die was an explosion of sound and fury
- Helter Skelter was very "helter skelter"
It's not on the setlist but he did a short instrumental cover of Foxy Lady and told a great story how he saw Hendrix before he took in England
Just a great experience. Everybody knew almost every song and it was a Love Fest.
