I know my thread title only states the obvious. My point was WTF did that guy do??? How hard was his life?

Bath salts and Hennessey take a toll on us all.

If you do bath salts you probably ain't springing for Hennessey. Priorities man.

Yep.
Sorry for your loss.

He was a tramp. He was straight out of the Georgia woods. He wore overalls and those old brogan shoes. He didn't have any continental clothes or a Stetson hat.

And, by the way, the poster was kidding about Otis' dress. Although Otis and Carla Thomas did a duet on "Tramp" that discussed such attire.

Touring non stop while drinking and performing in smoke filled dance/performance halls will probably do that to you. Those guys lived on the road almost all year and toured non stop. Lots of young artists back then looked older than their years because of it.

a lot of singers from that Motown era had very sad/abrupt endings to their lives.
how many of yall knew both sam cooke and marvin gaye were shot and killed? marvin gaye's own father killed him with a gun he gave to him as a gift to help protect himself.
