On wireless guitar systems

I've never used a wireless guitar system but thought I would get my 17 year old granddaughter one. She plays a hollow body as well as an electrified acoustic.
The ones I see for sale come in either a 2.4 ghz or 5.8 ghz and has around a hundred foot range. Latency is reported to be negligible in the 5.8 version.
Just wondered what your experience, if any, is on how you like them.

I used Nady in the 1980s, Samson in the 1990s, then Shure in the 2000s. You cannot go wrong with whatever Shure is available in your price range.
Slightly cheaper ... I've heard excellent things about Boss's WL-20 and -50 systems, and Line 6's wireless offerings. Those utilize a "pedal" receiver that double as transmitter chargers from what I've seen, that you house on a pedalboard. SO much smarter than an amp-top console receiver.
If they don't have your price range covered, there are many bug-style wireless systems on Amazon that are stupid cheap in price. One bug is the transmitter, the other plugs straight into the amp or the console.
Considering good technology in general is more affordable than ever, and considering Amazon's bulletproof return policy if that first hypothesis is incorrect ... I may buy one of the bargain bug systems on Amazon to see how well and how conveniently it would do its job around the workshop. One less cable to potentially trip me up is always welcome.

Thanks.
I've seen some in the $50-$60 range I'm looking at and the reviews are positive. It seems the 5.6 ghz may have less issues with other wireless interference. One unit is the transmitter and the other is the receiver.
Since this would be a new experience for both of us, I'm not spending a ton of money on something that might be a fleeting passion. Later, if the situation warrants, we will have some experience with them.
No one in her little band uses them so they're still tripping over cables.
Thanks again for your information.

Everyone was going to 5.8 for less interference. But, there are so many that have gone that way, 2.4 may be ok. The good thing about using with guitar is there is not a noticeable tone suck. With bass, you have to get a decent unit or your tone can really suffer. Most of them have decent latency these days.

I've bought 3 different ones on amazon. The most expensive was probably the worst, Xvive A58. I'd get one in the $50 range on amazon and return if it sucks. The best one I have is Amoon brand, but they don't sell it anymore. The Lekato ones are supposed to be pretty good.

I have a grandson that's a proper bassist and I'll be seeing him this weekend and see why he isn't wireless.
Me? I'm just a thumper who plugs in and covers JJ Cale and Clapton back in the spare bedroom.

I use the xvive guitar and IEM system at church every Sunday. Have no no interference issues at all, we use senhieser mics and wireless transmitter packs on the stage as well.
